The MyData Health conference session titled, “Connecting the Dots on Health Data Sharing,” will be held on Friday, Dec.11 at 22:45 UTC / 4:45 pm CST / 5:45 pm EST US time. The session will bring together international leaders in digital trust in healthcare to discuss the premise and pathways toward a vision of patient-centric international health data sharing, with an emphasis on enabling new technologies. The session will be moderated by Dr. Moira Schieke, Founder and CEO of Cubismi, Inc.
“COVID-19 has put an emphasis on the need for the global science community to share data openly as a critical-need public health initiative,” says Dr. Schieke, Co-founder of MyData Health. “International health data sharing in a manner that protects individuals’ rights over their personal health data, however, is not so simple. It involves a deeply complex array of considerations, including technological, public policy, legal and regulatory, clinical medicine, and public health. The MyData group advocates for use of decentralized key management and semantic technologies that optimize the power of collated health data, while assuring personal controls. To build the right vision for the future, we need to build international collaborations using these emerging technologies.”
